A well activity report is a formal report submitted by an operator utilizing the form BSEE-0133 that details general well and company data, current and historical wellbore information, casing, liner and tubing record, daily well activity, open hole log data and significant well events. The publicly available versions of well activity reports do not contain certain information considered to be proprietary. Releasable information is detailed under 30 CFR 250.197, which describes what data and information will be made available, under what circumstances, and in what time period.
The well activity reports listed below were submitted to the BSEE Alaska Region by Shell Gulf of Mexico Incorporated on a BSEE-0133 Form beginning July 25, 2015.
BSEE requires operators to submit daily well activity reports when a drilling rig is on location for a permitted well regardless of the specific operation. Shell is currently drilling at one site, Burger J, due to a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Letter of Authorization (LOA) issued June 30 that prohibits simultaneous drilling at Burger J and Burger V. The LOA requires Shell to maintain a minimum spacing of 15 miles between drill rigs during exploration activities.
Future well activity reports will be available once they are reviewed and accepted by BSEE. We strive to make all public data available as soon as it is releasable.
