HOUSTON - The Ocean Energy Safety Institute (OESI) in conjunction with the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) will hold a public forum on February 17 to discuss recently completed BSEE research projects. The Technology Assessment Program Forum will highlight issues related to offshore research and best industry practices, with opportunities for questions from industry, government, and the public.
BSEE pursues research related to offshore safety and environmental stewardship through a variety of bureau initiatives including those related to emerging technologies and oil spill response. Operating through contracts with universities, private research firms, the National Academies, and government laboratories, BSEE’s Technology Assessment Program has administered nearly 900 research and development projects since its inception.
