Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) oil spill preparedness and response experts are in San Antonio, Texas this week participating in the annual Clean Gulf Conference and Exhibition. Yesterday, BSEE met with local students who were invited to attend Wednesday’s keynote address and given introductions to seven government agencies before touring the exhibit hall. BSEE's exhibit showcases the bureau's Oil Spill Preparedness Division. Employees from this division are on hand to speak with conference attendees and will be giving technical presentations throughout the conference covering BSEE operations and research activities.
Today, Tim Steffek, BSEE petroleum engineer and research specialist, will give an update on BSEE oil spill response research at 3 p.m. Clean Gulf is the largest gathering in North America that targets oil spill responders. The entire conference agenda is posted here.
