Today, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement Chief of Offshore Regulatory Programs Doug Morris participated in a panel discussion hosted by the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Gas and Oil Technologies (GOT) at Rice University in Houston on 'Offshore Frontiers - Challenges and Responses.
The panel was brought together by the IEA GOT to discuss the technology challenges facing industry in the offshore frontier areas and the needed technology responses to those challenges. Morris was joined by Eric Allen of DNV GL, Mike Robinson of Subsea Processing, and Greg Kusinski of Chevron.
The Roundtable marks the first step by IEA GOT to define the roadmap for governments, the research community and industry to work together on technology challenges and responses related to prudent offshore operations and risk management in support of safe, efficient and sustainable offshore exploration and production activities.
