Description

WebGNOME is an internet-based revision to the NOAA Emergency Response Division’s (ERD) traditional oil spill response modeling tools. BSEE’s Oil Spill Preparedness Division partnered with NOAA ERD to sponsor additional enhancements to WebGNOME that 1) expands the current options for displaying the model outputs to include trajectory visualizations that show changes in oil concentration and other properties, such as viscosity as the oil is transported, and 2) develops the ability for users to enter specific properties into a stand-alone oil library (WebADIOS) which can then be extracted and imported for spill modeling in WebGNOME.
