Description

This project focused on the separation of water from emulsified oily water under simulated arctic conditions using flotation technoloy. The efficiency of oil separation using different surfactants, temperatures, and ice conditions were evaluated using batch and continuous operations. This was a proof of conept to determine the viability of using flotation technology methods developed at ambient temperatures and the applicability for recovering oil in an arctic environment.
