Description

This is a Joint Industry Project (JIP). The purpose, of this project, was to further development, testing, and verification of the FLAIM concept. The goal was to prevent fires and explosions that may lead to loss of containment and oil spills.

Latest progress update

A model was being developed that used two evaluations: Safety Management Systems and Physical Qualities. Each of the evaluations has two parts: an overall assessment and a detailed assessment. For the Safety Management System evaluation, there were eight categories of questions. These questions will include Basic Minimal Questions developed by UCB for initial assessments.
