August 30, 2013- On Thursday, August 29th Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) Director Brian Salerno visited BSEE employees in the bureau's offices in Herndon, Va. He toured the offices individually before hosting an all employee meeting. During his remarks to employees, Salerno emphasized the importance of the BSEE mission to safe, secure and environmentally sound offshore operations. He went on to mention the important role that each employee plays in ensuring the success of the bureau mission, and that he is excited to be apart of BSEE. He told employees that the work ahead won't be easy as we deal with new technologies and new challenges, but that he knows that the bureau has the skills and talent to meet whatever comes our way.
BSEE currently has about 200 employees in the bureau's Herndon, Va. offices, home to the Office of Administration, Office of Offshore Regulatory Programs, Oil Spill Response Division and the Environmental Enforcement Division.
